 The project is a one-week canopy project focusing on form aesthetic, and construction techniques to shelter the primary entrance of a local residential building with three stories or more. There should be a connection between the ground level and multiple building stories.

The plaza redesign must incorporate seating, a concession stand, a performance stage, and an accessible walkway between Ludlow Ave and the south end of the site. Seating should include fixed elements for 15+ people and movable options that can be stored on-site. The concession area should enable a variety of vendor uses. The stage should allow for diverse performances while considering acoustics, weather protection, non-use functionality etc. The walkway must remain accessible during events. Formal parameters include fitting within the existing footprint, accommodating future development like the proposed library, prioritizing accessibility, incorporating lighting and power access, allowing emergency access to neighboring buildings, maintaining the 8 existing trees, and retaining parking lot access stairs. The goal is to create flexible, inviting spaces that encourage social encounters and community engagement within the given site and parameters.
